Misty Johnson
Real Estate Specialist
Born and raised in rural Eastern Oregon, Misty has always had a deep affinity for the outdoors. Her journey led her to Idaho County in 1996, where she began her career as a horseback and whitewater rafting guide. Misty also served as a licensed packer and camp cook for a hunting outfitter in Dixie, Idaho. Her passion for Idaho County's stunning landscapes was evident as she guided adventurers through its mesmerizing terrain, earning a reputation as a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide.
In 1998, Misty started a new chapter in her professional life when she joined US Bank. Beginning as a teller, she quickly demonstrated her abilities, eventually advancing to the role of loan officer before becoming a branch manager. Her nearly 15-year tenure at the bank was marked by a steadfast commitment to excellence, earning her considerable respect within the industry.
In 2001, Misty married a fifth-generation Idaho County rancher. Together, they now own farmland and a ranch with a small cattle feedlot. Her experience in ranching, combined with her deep love for Idaho's natural beauty and potential, has prepared her well for her next venture in real estate.
In her free time, Misty enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, including gardening, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, and exploring Idaho's hidden gems. She and her husband are the proud parents of two children: Dean Johnson, a student-athlete playing football at the College of Idaho, and Molly Johnson, a student-athlete on the college rodeo team at the University of Western Montana.
Today, Misty is leveraging her years of experience and intimate knowledge of Idaho County to help others find their dream homes. With her diverse background, deep understanding of the region, and passion for service, Misty is poised to make a significant impact in Idaho's real estate sector. She worked as an administrative assistant to her brokers at United Country for several years before deciding to get her real estate license.
"I am excited to use my skills and knowledge to guide people in their real estate journeys," said Misty. "My love for this land and community motivates me to help others make Idaho County their home, just as I did all those years ago. I love where I live."
As she embarks on this new phase of her career, Misty Johnson is a testament to the power of resilience, a deep connection to one's roots, and the willingness to embrace new adventures.
