Daniel Dunham obtained his real estate license in 1982, beginning his career during a challenging period when interest rates soared above 15%. With the assistance of a skilled title agent, Daniel developed an innovative program that accepted mobile homes as trade-ins, enabling him to sell and construct a new home every other month for five years. He took great pride in helping clients transition from mobile homes to newly constructed, custom-built houses. Daniel also introduced a rent-to-own initiative, which he described as “a savings account you can live in,” allowing clients to build equity in their mobile homes to eventually trade them in for custom-built homes.

Daniel’s clients often faced obstacles, having been told there was “no way for them to buy at this time.” However, through his creative programs, many were able to purchase their first homes, whether they participated in his mobile home program or not.

Daniel began his college education at Washington State University, where his grandfather, Joseph Hansen, and great uncle, Sam Hansen, played football on the 1931 Rose Bowl team. During his time at WSU, he discovered North Idaho and knew it was “the place” he wanted to call home. His military service took him across the country, reaffirming that no place compared to North Idaho. After 35 years in Boise, Daniel, with the support of his wife, Teresa, achieved his dream of returning to North Idaho, where he now resides on 18 acres with a breathtaking view of the Clearwater River.

Throughout his career, Daniel has explored various business ventures, held director positions, and experienced multiple roles both within and outside the real estate industry, including as a Realtor and mortgage broker. Today, he is excited to help others achieve their real estate dreams and goals.
